Mud Dauber Wasp

Suspended in a 20 ml. vial this  Mud Dauber is a type of wasp that is known for its unique nesting habits. These wasps build their nests out of mud, hence their name. They are typically solitary insects, meaning that they do not live in large colonies like some other types of wasps. Mud Dauber wasps are known for their ability to capture and paralyze spiders, which they then use to feed their young.
